How to get from Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) to The Berkeley Hotel Pratunam

Taxi

Suvarnabhumi airport terminal is approximately 30 kilometers (19 miles) east, 1 hour to the Conference Venue, depending on traffic and time of day. Public taxi stands are located on level 1 (one level down from the Arrivals level). The taxi fare is charged by the meter plus a 50 Baht airport surcharge. If you select a metered taxi the driver may ask you to provide the toll fees enroute. Alternately you should be able to negotiate a mini bus taxi which will hold about 4 people plus luggage for around 1000 Baht or a regular taxi for 2 people plus luggage which should cost no more than 500 Baht including freeway tolls and taxes, which is still pretty cheap door to door transport.

Sky Train

The Bangkok Airport Rail Link (06:00-midnight) that connects downtown Bangkok with Suvarnabhumi International Airport is a smart alternative to the airport’s express buses or taxis. The City Line makes six stops between downtown (Phayathai Station) and the airport, completing each run in 30 minutes, making this a quick and convenient transport option for getting in and out of Bangkok. The Airport Rail Link connects you to the BTS Sky train at Phayathai Station. Then, take the BTS Skytrain to Chit Lom Station and take a walk for 5-10 minutes to Conference Venue.

From Bangkok International Airport (Suvarnabhumi), the entrance to the Airport Rail Link service is on the First Floor.

How to get from Don Mueng Airport (DMK) to The Berkeley Hotel Pratunam

Today Don Mueang Airport is Bangkok’s secondary international airport, handling both domestic and international. This airport is located in the north of center Bangkok. It is located at about the same distance from the city center as the main Suvarnabhumi Airport (Suvarnabhumi is at the east of Bangkok). There is NO an airport-train (nor Metro or Sky train) to Don Muang Airport, like there is for the main international airport Suvarnabhumi (A Sky train line is being built at these moments).

Taxi

About 500 Baht from the airport to town, 1 hour to the Conference Venue, depending on traffic and time of day (the difference is due to extra charges from the airport). The taxi fare is charged by the meter plus a 50 Baht airport surcharge.

Airport Bus

There is a high frequency bus A1, which goes to the nearest BTS Sky train Mochit station (also a Metro-MRT station called Chatuchak). Then, take the BTS Sky train to Chit Lom Station and take a walk for 5-10 minutes to Conference Venue.
