General information

  1. ONE person can submit only ONE abstract either for an oral or poster presentation. Please note that abstracts submitted for an oral presentation may be accepted as a poster presentation, depending on the available time slots. Note: This restriction does not apply to co-authorship. For example, a professor may have one submission for himself/herself as a presenter and be a co-author on a few other submissions from collaborators and/or students.
  2. Abstract submissions must be completed via our online platform by the specified deadlines only. Please do not submit by email.
  3. Please use the ACCC9 templates and follow our guidelines. Submissions will be rejected or returned if they do not comply with our requirements.
  4. All presenters must register and pay the registration fee by the deadline, otherwise their abstracts will be automatically withdrawn.
  5. Accepted abstracts will be available on the ACCC9 website for download prior to the meeting.
  6. Early-career researchers are particularly encouraged to apply for oral presentation to give them an opportunity to showcase their work.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

  1. Abstract must be prepared using the ACCC9 abstract template. Please do not adjust page margins or other formatting.
  2. Abstracts must be written in English containing no more than 200 words.
  3. Abstracts must include two to five keywords and may include one graphic.
  4. The dimension must not exceed one A4 page, and the file size must be no more than 1 MB.
  5. Name your abstract file as Lastname_Initial_Abstract.docx

ACCC9 Oral Presentation Guidelines

Speaker information

To ensure that the conference runs smoothly the three speaker slots will be timed as follows.

  1. Keynote speaker – 30 minutes (25 minutes talk + 5 minutes Q&A)
  2. Invited speaker – 20 minutes (17 minutes talk + 3 minutes Q&A)
  3. Session speaker – 15 minutes (12 minutes talk + 3 minutes Q&A)
  4. Flash speaker – 5 minutes (5 minutes talk and NO Q&A, + present poster)

ACCC9 Poster Presentation Guidelines

  1. Poster panel: vertical poster panel, 100 cm wide x 250 cm high. Recommended poster orientation, size: Portrait, A0 size, 84 cm wide x 118 cm high. Poster presentations must use the provided adhesive only. (The final dimensions and attachment method will be confirmed again when the schedule of the poster presentation is announced.)
  2. Posters may be prepared with the ACCC9 banner at the top of the poster as shown below (if you wish). Alternatively, the PowerPoint poster banner can be downloaded here.
